Roy Shane "Spanky" Mogab Obituary

Roy Shane “Spanky” Mogab of Dent County, Missouri passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 in his home at the age of 53 years 4 months and 14 days. He was born March 23, 1968 in St. Louis, Missouri to Fredrick Dennis Mogab and Joan Brasure.  In Kansas City, Missouri on October 6, 1990, he was united in marriage to Tammy Scrivens.

Spanky served his country honorably in the U.S. Marines from 1987 to 1989. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 600 and a member of the Saddle Tramps Motorcycle Club.

Spanky enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, and a good party. He also was a taxidermist and a craftsman who made some great pieces of wood furniture. Most of all he loved his family and his dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Mogab of Dent County, MO; three sons, Austin Shane (Ashley) Mogab of Bourbon, MO, John Dalton (Amanda) Mogab and Travis Garrett Mogab all of Salem, MO; his mother, Joan Brasure of Hornbeak, TN; his father, Dennis Mogab of Los Cruces, NM; two sisters, Danelle Mogab of High Ridge, MO and Denese (Terry) Chamberlain of Union City, TN; one grandson, Mason Bennett Mogab; a great number of “Club brothers”; other relatives; and many friends.

The Family chose cremation as the final disposition.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The Mogab Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
