Shar Anitta (Karley) Edgar

Shar A. Edgar of Steelville, Missouri passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Steelville Senior Living at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 10 days. She was born February 13, 1949 in Ithaca, New York to Eric James Karley. She was united marriage to John Edgar in 1993.

Shar grew up in New York where she took ballet lessons from 5 years old to 15 years old. She eventually began to teach ballet and continued for fifteen years.

Throughout the years, Shar began taking CNA classes and eventually received her degree in nursing as a Registered Nurse. For over forty years, she dedicated her life to taking care of residents at Meramec Nursing Service in Sullivan, Cuba Manor and Gibbs Care in Steelville. She loved the people that she took care of with her passion growing for health care during those many years. Shar also taught nursing classes in Rolla at RTC.

She was preceded in death by her father, Eric Karley; her son, Michael Anthony; and one daughter, Justine Michel.

Shar is survived by her son, Beau Edgar of Steelville, MO; two daughters, Melonie Wolfe of Steelville, MO and Tina Marie of Beaverton, OR.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at the Covenant Praise Church in Cuba, MO with Rev. Jeremiah Wilson officiating.

The Family chose cremation as the final disposition.
