Sharon Lee Zeiss, née Buchan, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2021 in Sullivan at the age of 80 years, 5 months and 8 days. She was born March 21, 1941 in St. Louis, MO to Ronald Buchan and Melva Elizabeth Schnittker-White Buchan.
Sharon enjoyed being outside whether attending her flowers, doing yard work or camping. She also loved to travel, spend her spare time reading or going to Cuba and playing Bingo at the Knights of Columbus. She dearly loved her family and was very proud of them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ronald and Melva Buchan.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Stephen (Kim) Zeiss of Steelville, MO; two daughters, Donna (Ted) Palmer and Lisa Brown all of Steelville, MO; six grandchildren, Justin Palmer, Ashley (Chris) White, Bethany (Frankie) Aubin, Sonny (Brandy) Brown, Mariah Zeiss and Sierra Zeiss; seven great-grandchildren, Gavin Aubin, Kaylen Aubin, Zoey Brown, Lillian Aubin, Levi White, Braddock Brown and Kinzlee White; one brother, Ronald Buchan of Lake Havasu City, Arizona; one sister, Sharlene (Dan) Henry of Steelville, MO; other relatives; and friends.
The Family received friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 3, 2021 with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Special Memories were shared by a daughter, Lisa Brown. Music of "The Old Rugged Cross" was played and sung by Rev. Jerry Beers. Other music played was "How Great Thou Art", "Back to God", "Precious Memories" and "God and Country."
Committal prayer and interment were in the Steelville Cemetery.
Honored to be casket bearers were Roy Earney, John Lackner, Jeff Zeiss, Ryan Curtis, Justin Palmer, Sonny Brown and Deric Curtis.
