Sherry Burrow Obituary

Sherry Lee Burrow, nee Garrison, of Cuba, Missouri passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023 in St. Louis at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 25 days. She was born March 13, 1959 in Sullivan, Missouri to William Herschel Garrison and Betty Britton Garrison.

On December 15, 1976 in Steelville, Sherry was united in marriage to Curtis Burrow and to this union two sons and one daughter were born.

Sherry had attended the Steelville Assembly of God Church. She always enjoyed cross stitching, reading and cooking. Sherry felt she was a mother and grandmother to many and considered them to be her babies.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Herschel Garrison; her mother-in-law, Ethel Marie Casteel, whom she was very close to; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna (Kenny) Thomas, Faye (Louis) Wiseman, Bonnie Shelton, Cleveland (Theresa) Burrow, Bob Burrow, Bill Burrow, Harold Burrow, Lowell (Jim Warren) Burrow and Mervil Junior Casteel.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of forty-six years, Curtis “Doogie” Burrow of Cuba, MO; two sons, Curtis (Andi Harley) Burrow of Cuba, MO and Herschel (Jamie) Burrow of Tulsa, OK; one daughter, Crista (Mike) Chew of Cuba, MO; mother, Betty Garrison of Steelville, MO; three brothers, Mike (Karen) Garrison of Cuba, MO, Billy (Patty) Garrison of Eureka Springs, AR and Kevin (Amy) Garrison of Steelville, MO; seven sisters, Fayetta (Kenny) Large of Cuba, MO, Luetta (Robert) Bauer of Windsor, MO, Kelly Howard of Steelville, MO, Kathy Burrow of Paragould, AR, Lisa (Colin) Vandergriffe of Steelville, MO, Rosie (Carl) Havner of North Fork, AR and Lana Edwards of Paragould, AR; five grandchildren, Malachi (Wynter) Burrow, William (Kenzie) Chew, James Burrow, Andy Chew and Jasper Harley-Smith; one great-grandson, Colsyn Chew; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary (Sonny) Hutchings of Steelville, MO, Margaret (Jim) Harmon of Cherryville, MO and Danny Burrow of Arlington, TX; many nieces and nephews; other relatives; and friends.

The Family received friends from 1:00 p.m. until time of service on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

A Memorial Service was held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2023 with Pastor Jerry Beers officiating. Many memories were shared by family members. Special music of "Dancing in the Sky" and "On the Wings of a Dove" was played.
