Shirley Marie (Port) West

Shirley Marie West, nee Port, of Crawford County, Missouri passed away Friday, October 13, 2023 at Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 90 years, 6 months and 4 days. She was born April 9, 1933 in St. Louis to William and Ella Bruce Port.

Shirley was united in marriage to Anthony “Tony” Gilbert West on August 1, 1950 in Arkansas and to this union  one son and two daughters were born.

She was a member of the Cherryville Baptist Church. Shirley loved the outdoors and spent many hours working in her yard.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Tony West; one daughter, Susan Marie Bolin; three brothers, Robert Port, William Port and Joseph Port; four sisters, Elenor Walkenbach, Deloris Marshal, Mary Port and Therasa Port.

Shirley will be sadly missed by her one son, Charles Anthony (Laura) West of Farmington, MO; one daughter, April Christine (Lawrence) Green of St. Clair, MO; one sister, Margaret Callahan of Eureka, MO; six grandchildren, Sherry Lynn (Kent) Kamp, Renee Sue (Jim) Johnson, Gabriel Anthony (Stephanie) Downey, Katrina Marie (Justin) McKlendin, Cassie Amber (Charlie) Stumborg and Jessee Tyler (Misty) Green; ten great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; other relatives; and friends.

Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the Cherryville Baptist Cemetery, Cherryville, MO with family members officiating.

Interment will be in the Cherryville Baptist Cemetery, Cherryville, MO.

The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home.
