Stevie "Steve" Cordel Harris

Stevie "Steve" Cordell Harris of Cuba, Missouri passed away Monday, January 3, 2022 at Phelps Health in Rolla, Missouri at the age of 64 years, 9  months and 2 days. He was born April 1, 1957 in Cherryville, Missouri to Hartford and Bertha “Nellie” Smith Harris.

Steve graduated from Steelville High School in 1975. On June 28, 1975, he was united in marriage to Debby Hubert in Steelville at the Straightway Baptist Church. He was employed as a Mill Technician at Wieland in Cuba for thirty-two years. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing video games, fishing and target shooting. He also spent many hours working on the mechanics of old cars and woodworking in his shop plus building a deck and fence for his home.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nellie Harris; brother Deryl Harris; and brother-in-law, Joey Schonfield.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of over 46 years, Debby Harris; two children, Joshua Harris and Tammy Harris of Cuba, MO; his father, Hartford Harris of Steelville, MO; three brothers, Ron (Becky) Harris and Bradley (Molly) Harris all of Steelville, MO and Roger (Lily) Harris of OK; two sisters, Cheryl (Ken) Bennett of Cuba, MO and Carol Harris of Steelville, MO; two brothers-in-law, Ed (Marianne) Hubert and Randy (Stevfaney) Hubert all of Rolla, MO; four sisters-in-law, Sandy (Steve) Huett of O’Fallon, MO, Donna Schonfield of Cuba, MO, Vicky (Bud) Thomas of Columbia, MO and Jenny Ray of Steelville, MO; other relatives; and many friends.

The Family received friends from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 with Rev. Bob Coleman officiating. Special music of “ We Only Just Begun”, “Through the Years”, “By and By “ and “Amazing Grace” was played.

Committal prayer and interment were in the Martin-Trask Cemetery, Cherryville, MO.

Honored to be casket bearers were Brad Harris, Ron Harris, Roger Harris, Randy Hubert, Donald Coplin and Bud Thomas.

The Harris Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
