Tammy Renee (Oxendine) Irvin

Tammy Renee Irvin, nee Oxendine, of Steelville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025 in St. Louis at the age of 63 years and 10 months. She was born September 30, 1961 in Steelville to Donald James Oxendine and Helen Sisco Oxendine. She was united in marriage to Bobby Irvin on August 9, 1990 in Steelville and to this union two daughters were born.

Tammy graduated from Steelville High School in 1980. When she was younger, Tammy attended the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and in later years she attended Steelville Assembly of God Church. She was employed at Brown Shoe Company for several years.

She loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting deer and turkey. Tammy also loved to play her guitar and most of all loved being with her granddaughter, nephews and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Helen Oxendine; husband, Bobby Irvin; parents-in-laws, William Samuel Irvin and Lillian Annette Lisenby Irvin.

She will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Marty Irvin and Bobby Jo Swyers of Steelville, MO; granddaughter, Rosie Swyers; sister, Karen (Kenny) Koch of Steelville, MO; special nephews, Triston James Koch, Liam Scott Koch, Elijah Arthur Koch, Lukas Edward Peak and Teddy Koch on the way; cousins, other relatives; and friends.

The Family received friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jerry Beers officiating. Special music of "Get Where I Am Going", "Send Your Best Angel for Mama" and "Go Rest High" was played.

Inurnment will be in the Cherryville Baptist Church Cemetery, Cherryville, MO at a later date.

The Irvin Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
