Troy William Pyatt, Jr, age 66 years, 5 months and 7 days of Cuba, Missouri passed away Saturday, December 21, 2019 at his home. He was born July 14, 1953 in Steelville, Missouri to Troy William Pyatt and Virgina Leora Brown Pyatt. Troy was united in marriage to Sharon Baker on October 13, 1973 at the Center Ridge Pentecostal Church in Davisville, Missouri and to this union two sons were born.
Troy grew up in Cherryville/Davisville area and graduated from Viburnum High School. He was employed at Doe Run and retired in 2012. Troy attended the Assembly of God Church in Cuba.
Troy had a God given talent for his wood making skills such as wooden toys, signs and different types of cabinets and to the ones who own his crafts, they are cherished. For a period of time, he had his own shop, Pyatt Custom Cabinets. Troy enjoyed watching TV, especially old westerns and sci-fi and listening to old country music. He also loved playing word and Yahtzee games with his wife, Sharon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy Pyatt and Leora Pyatt Hewkin; mother-in-law, Emma Baker; and sister-in-law, Beverly Jean Baker.
He will be sadly missed by his wife of forty-six years, Sharon Pyatt of Cuba, MO; two sons, Travis (Holly) Pyatt of Eureka, MO and Tyler (companion, Emily) Pyatt of Omaha, NE; twin brother, Roy (Donna) Pyatt of Shrewsbury, MO; one sister, Gail (Bob) Green of Cherryville, MO; one granddaughter, Madison; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jim (Kathy) Baker of Cuba, MO; brothers-in-law, Dave (Terry) Baker of Steelville, MO, Dennis (Patty) Baker of Springfield, MO and Mark (Suzanne) Kimons of Louisville, KY; and sisters-in-law, Sandy (Paul) Greathouse of Steelville, MO and Lisa (Tom) Morgan of Cuba, MO; nieces, nephews, other relatives; and friends.
The Family received friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2019 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Pastor Terry Hogan and Rev. Harrison Brown officiating. Special music of "In the Garden", "Across the Bridge" and "Heaven just got Sweeter" was sung by Bob and Carol Coleman.
Committal prayer and interment were in the Davisville Cemetery.
Honored to be casket bearers were Ronnie Brooks, Harrison Brown, Bob Coleman, David Baker, Tim Baker and Mike Abbott.
