Wanda "Jean" Trent Obituary

Wanda “Jean” Trent (nee Tidwell), of O’Fallon, MO, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 12th, 2020 at the age of 81 due to complications related to Alzheimer’s.  Jean was born January 20th, 1939 in St. Louis, MO.  She was united in marriage to Billy J. Trent on August 11th, 1978 and they remained happily together until his passing on October 27th, 2017.

Jean spent most of her career working for Marriott Corporation until her retirement in 2001.  Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She was a devote Christian who enjoyed going to church.  She loved bowling, music, singing, dancing and fishing.  She always looked forward to spending time in the country, visiting family and friends, along with finding a good stream or pond to drop a fishing line in.  She also enjoyed spending time “shopping”, which her family knew really meant patronizing the local casino as her husband and children were generally tugged along.  But above all, what she loved the most was her family and God above.

In addition to her loving husband, Jean was preceded in death by her mother, Effie “Mahaley” (Pyatt) Tidwell, daughter Patricia “Robin” (Kuntz) Stratos, son Michael K. Sherwood,  and son in law David L. Fine; siblings, Paul Tidwell, Leroy Tidwell, Millie Ufkin, Billie "Cleo" Amarine, and Joey Tidwell, along with several aunts, uncles, nephew and cousins.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Jerry O. (Angela) Kuntz, Steven E. (Sue) Kuntz, Tamara K. (Alan) Tustin, and Kimberly J. (Michael Cox) Fine; son-in-law, Harry Stratos; grandchildren, Marayia (Rich) Willman, Tricia Holleran, Ryan (Christine) Kuntz, Jeanne (Bojan) Kvesic, Melissa (Josh) Gruver, Andrew (Marie) Tustin, Zachary (Sammi) Fine,  Kyle (Erin) Tustin, Samantha (Josh) Queen, and Venita Kuntz along with eighteen great grandchildren; siblings, Fred Tidwell, Elmer (Mary) Tidwell, Joan (Bob) Bosma, and Terry (Jane) Tidwell along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
