William “Bill” Craig Edgar of Steelville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at his home in the Berryman area at the age of 60 years, and 10 days. Bill was born at Huzzah, Missouri to Floyd Thomas Edgar and Hazel Jeanette Martin Edgar.
On July 1, 1996 in Potosi, MO, Bill was united in marriage to Maria Burnett.
Bill worked as a caretaker for farmers in the area. He was of the Baptist faith. Bill had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting deer and turkey. He also enjoyed raising rabbits and chickens. Bill loved to visit with everyone and loved his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Floyd and Hazel Edgar; an infant brother, Cole Edgar; and three sisters, infant, Lula Carol Edgar, Geraldine Pratt and Brenda Asher; and sister-in-law, Leda Edgar.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-five years, Maria of the home; mother-in-law, April Hall of Viburnum, MO; seven brothers, Floyd (Kathleen) Edgar of Horine, MO, Vondel Edgar of Viburnum, MO, Vernon (Lien) Edgar of DeSoto, MO, Malcolm Edgar of Bonne Terre, MO, Arnold Edgar of Boonville, MO, Kelly (Angie) Edgar of Cherryville, MO and Ricky (Anna) Edgar of Steelville, MO; two sisters, Janet (Jerry) Parmley of Mineral Point, MO and Janice Kay (Lee) Parker of Vacaville, CA; two brothers-in-law, Bob Pratt of DeSoto, MO and Emmett Asher of Bixby, MO; nieces, nephews; other relatives; and many friends.
The Family received friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Shoal Creek Cemetery with Pastor Paul Davis officiating. Special music of "Amazing Grace", led by Pastor Paul Davis, was sung by family and friends.
Committal prayer and interment were in the Shoal Creek Cemetery, Berryman, MO.
Honored to be casket bearers were Tracy Edgar, Alan Edgar, Nathan Asher, Rick Edgar, Kelly Edgar and Ronnie Vance.
The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home, Steelville, MO.
