Florence Daphna Souders, nee Walker, of Fenton, Missouri, formerly of Steelville, Missouri passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in Fenton, Missouri at the age of 86 years, 8 months and 22 days. She was born April 19, 1931 in Crawford County to Clyde H. Walker and Virgie E. Clonts Walker. Florence was united in marriage to John Melvis Souders on June 10, 1950 in Steelville, Missouri and to this union one son and two daughters were born.
Florence enjoyed sewing many pieces of clothing for her family throughout the years. She also spent many hours quilting.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Souders; one brother, Thomas Walker and wife Betty Jo; and two sisters, Aileen Moutray and husband Raymond and Ava Bishop and husband Kenneth.
Florence will be sadly missed by all of her family, one son, Carl Souders of Cuba, MO; two daughters, Karen Lynn Tynes and husband Keith Sr. of Affton, MO and Lorna Jean Stelmar and husband Richard of High Ridge, MO; seven grandchildren, Kelly J. Blake and husband Robert, Keith Tynes Jr. and wife Angie, Michael R. Stelmar and wife Angela, Bret H. Stelmar and wife Bobbi, Rachel Nicholl and husband Ronnie, Katherine A. Souders and Joseph C. Souders; eight great-grandchildren, Patrick Nicholl, Erin L. Tynes, Katelyn M. Tynes, Maggie E. Tynes, Ramona E. Stelmar, Charlotte L. Stelmar, Tabetha Blake and husband Bobby and Tiffany Blake; one great-great-grandson, Robert Blake Harvey; other relatives and friends.
The Family received friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral in Steelville with Rev. Danny Loesch officiating. Special music of "In the Garden", "Where Do I put her Memory" and "Amazing Grace" was played.
Committal prayer and interment were in the Liberty Cemetery, Steelville, MO.
Honored to be casket bearers were Jason Bishop, Rusty Bishop, Robert Blake, Keith Tynes, Jr. and Michael Stelmar.
