Lloyd "Bud" Herman Russell, Jr. of Davisville, Missouri passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 at his home at the age of 75 years, 2 months and 13 days. He was born August 23, 1942 in Knob Lick, Missouri to Lloyd Herman Russell, Sr. and Bessie Kinney Russell. On December 24, 1961 in Coffman, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Janice Faye Richey.
Bud was employed at Doe Run after thirty plus years retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Cherryville First Baptist Church. Throughout the years, Bud always enjoyed fishing and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Janice Russell; one sister, Ruth Lachance; and one sister-in-law, Alma Griffith.
He will be missed by his two sons, Steven Russell and wife Barb of Viburnum, MO and Scott Russell and wife Barb of Cherryville, MO; two daughters, Sandy Mounce and husband Brent of Boss, MO and Mandy Davis and husband Brad of Viburnum, MO; six grandchildren, Bethany, Latisha, Dillyn and Raelynn Russell, Kasie Mounce and Kelci Faulkner and husband Andrew; step-grandson, Nick Hedrick and wife Kristy; two great-grandchildren, Karson and Aubrey; brother-in-law, Darrell LaChance of Fredericktown, MO; sister-in-laws, Mary Lou Smith of Farmington, MO, Virginia House and Sylvia Mayberry of Perryville, MO and Wanda Pirtle of Clinton, MO; other relatives and friends.
The Family received friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Rev. Bob Coleman officiating. Special music of "I Won"t Have to cross Jordan Alone" and "Take Me in your Life Boat" was played.
Committal prayer and interment were in the Cherryville First Baptist Church Cemetery, Cherryville, MO.
Honored to be casket bearers were Nick Hedrick, Dillyn Russell, Mark LaChance, Andrew Faulkner, Drew LaChance and Brent Mounce.
The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
