Paul George Coleman

Paul George Coleman, 88, of Beaufort, MO passed away Friday, December 3, 2010 at his home. He was born September 19, 1922 in Davisville, MO to Otis Fielding Coleman and Delila Catherine Setzer Coleman. On September 22, 1945 he was united in marriage to Ruby (Swyers) Coleman who preceded him in death in February of 1988. He later married Nola Jean Roberts in 1990 and she preceded him in death in 2006.

He is survived by one son, Paul "Corky" Coleman of Beaufort, MO; one daughter, Cathy Leimkuehler of Davisville, MO; three grandchildren, Kevin Coleman, Lisa Marie Schumpe, Paula Marie Johnston; two great-grandchildren, Melanie Catherine Johnston and Gracey Marie Johnston; other relatives and friends.

Paul graduated from Cherryville High School in 1941. In 1944 he moved to St. Louis and in 1945 he and Ruby were married. They later moved to Beaufort in 1976 and in 1984, Paul retired from Froesel Oil Company in St. Louis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Ruby and Nola; two grandchildren, Rhonda Lee Ruble and David Michael Coleman; one brother, John Coleman and wife Maudie; four sisters, Argie Coleman, Margie Randall, Helen Earls and Dorothy Zumstein.

Visitation was from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at the Oltmann Funeral Home in Union, MO.

Visitation was from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO.

Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home in Steelville, MO with Rev. Frannie Ann Evans officiating. Special music of "Crying For Me", "If You Only Knew" and "I Will Find You Again" was played.

Committal prayer and burial were in the Cherryville Baptist Cemetery at Cherryville, Missouri.

Honored to be casket bearers were John Halbert, Otis Coleman, Randy Copeland, Tom Coleman, Rick Halbert and Bud Adams.

The Family was served by the Britton-Bennett Funeral Home of Steelville, MO.
